Anastasiades Meets with ExxonMobil CEO

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades received in Washington DC a delegation from ExxonMobil headed by its Chief Executive Officer Darren Woods.

The talks focused on the implementation progress of the energy plans agreed between the Republic of Cyprus and the US energy giant, according to an official announcement.

"Issues related to regional energy developments were also discussed,” it added.

ExxonMobil is scheduled to carry out drill for gas and oil offshore Cyprus in July.

Taking part in the meeting were Foreign Affairs Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, Energy Minister George Lakkotripis, Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides and the ambassador of Cyprus in Washington, InCyprus reports.

Anastasiades is on a working visit to the American capital.
